Play 8 ball pool online, free
Goon Pool is a free 8 ball pool game that runs in your browser. There is nothing to download and no account to make. Practice alone, send a friend an invite link and play live, or take on a computer opponent. Break the rack and sink your group before they do. It works on desktop and on your phone.
How to play 8 ball
- The table is open after the break. The first ball you legally sink decides whether you shoot solids (1 to 7) or stripes (9 to 15).
- Keep shooting while you sink one of your balls. If you miss, your opponent shoots.
- Always hit one of your own balls first. Hitting the wrong ball, missing everything, or scratching the cue ball is a foul and gives your opponent ball in hand.
- Clear your group, then sink the 8 ball to win. Sinking the 8 early, or scratching while you sink it, loses the game.
Controls
- Move the mouse to aim, or drag on the table on a touch screen. Use the fine aim buttons or the arrow keys for small adjustments.
- On a computer, press on the table, pull the mouse back away from the shot and let go. The further you pull, the harder you hit. Press Esc to cancel.
- On a phone, press the power bar, slide to the strength you want and let go.
- Drag the dial to add follow (the cue ball rolls on after contact) or draw (it spins back).
- With ball in hand, drag the cue ball to move it.
